Hello!

Well, Day 4 of the tour in Salt Lake City is officially a wrap. The campus was beautiful… you could see snow-peaked mountain tops from where the bus was parked!
Mat has been hard at work the past few days. While me and the band all had the day off in Vegas, he was already in Salt Lake City doing radio interviews all day. Afterwards, he was saving his voice and didn’t talk all day until the show tonight so his voice was at it’s peak for you guys. It paid off. The show tonight was the best one yet. Mat and the band sounded amazing.
The dressing room was SOOO much better this time. Check it out in the photos. It looks like a theater dressing room.
Thank you all so much for all the amazing response to the videos and photos. Mat and I read through them today and they were really reassuring. It’s hard sometimes to do something entirely for the fans and you wonder if they actually care at all… you guys made it very clear that you were listening and that you cared. We’re both really excited about sharing our experience on the road with you. In Denver tomorrow, can’t wait to see you guys there!

It’s great to be able to follow the band! I see on the Mat Kearney schedule that you are scheduled to be in Milwaukee over our Summerfest festival…is this confirmed, because on the Summerfest schedule there is no mention of your show!

Please tell me you’re coming to Oregon at some point on this tour?
I was at this concert last night….AMAZING. One of the best concerts I’ve been to. Thanks for coming to SLC…we need you here more often!!!
WOW!! That was… awesome Mat and your band as well!! Hope we were a good audience. You really get into your music. Not only was your music…amazing (words inadequate) but you were pretty funny as well. The tram…er trax? That was hilarious. Had no idea either that they were free. It was surreal, really, I love your music and couldn’t help singing along! Thanks for playing my favorites, (I have many) like “Crashing Down” and I also loved when you switched to the piano for “All I Need” (love that song) and your new songs are awesome as well! I am waiting impatiently for your new CD! Thanks for coming to SLC! I agree with Krista come more often! =) Have fun with the rest of your tour and thanks Mat and Jonny K. for this blog. Its fun to watch and I am glad your dressing rm. was a better this time lol. How do you choose which songs? I wonder if you ever worry the crowd will be completely dead…must be quite a job not only to play/sing well but entertain. Anyway thanks again Mat and everybody for a great concert, it seemed so short!!!!
That dressing room is awesome! I guess it makes up for the electrical room. I work for a promoter, and I have seen my fair share of strange dressing/green rooms, haha.
im hoping that at some point you’ll come to south florida again….
Just remember, we are reading and enjoying the blog and/or videos even if we can’t always come up with something clever to say! Keep ‘em coming - we love it!! Glad the accomidations were better this time.
Sending some love and thanks your way for allowing us into your lives on the road. The photography is amazing and vids rock. See ya’ll in michigan. Be blessed and take care on the road. -K
p.s.The new album was worth the wait. It left me speechless after hearing it.
i love the photos on this one… beautiful! good luck at all the shows and keep pressin’ on!
LOOOOVE the photos and videos! (Jonny K. you’re a talented photo/video journalist, man. way to capture the good-natured sarcasm of band life)
I definitely agree that some golfing or other life beyond the bus/stage views of the road would be sweet… ya know, cool people y’all meet, diners you’d recommend while road-tripping, practical jokes, etc.
Makes me crave the summer/concert days; but, it’s still great to watch the blessings grow from afar.
Have fun out there!

Tour blog is an entertaining read. Great pics as well. Thanks for keeping us fans in the loop and giving us a glipse at life on the road. You are having too much fun!
I have been checking this every morning and it just brightens my day! Plus, the photography is wonderful.
Hey guys!! I love the tour blog, especially since I can’t go to the show in Chicago this weekend, which I’m super bummed about. Mat I love your music! Seriously, it makes my day better. My friend and I always blast your music when we’re on road trips. And I agree with Deb, I’d like to see photos on life outside the stage-related things.
Have fun in Chi-town!
in regards to the radio interviews, would you mind providing info on those as they arise, if possible? (name of the station, city, approximate time that mat will be on the air) through the twitter account, maybe? that way, we can tune in.
We were so excited when we saw Mat as we were leaving the concert. It was so amazing to meet and talk with him. The concert in Salt Lake was magical. Mat sounded so great. Thanks Mat for talking with us and letting us share with you how great we think you are!! It was an amazing night!!
Drove up and saw you in Hollywood last Saturday night–had been looking forward to it for a long time. I know you and the guys weren’t really pleased with the performance (according to the tour blog…), but just know that even on an “off day” to you, you’re still amazing to us! LOVE your music, always have; CANNOT wait for the new album release. And also can’t wait to see you in concert some time by yourself, without interruption of other artists.
God Bless.
I was at the show in SLC!!!! My best friend and I LOVE Mat. He is our absolute favorite musician!! This show was truly amazing!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much!!!
We attended the show in SLC and it was ASTOUNDING. We’d heard your stuff on the radio before, Mat, but it’s nothing like hearing it live. Really groovy music, chill, easy to listen to and highly enjoyable. You have a great, confident stage presence — it was a real treat to see you live. We got a great shot of the Mat’s band onstage: http://tinyurl.com/l7qysy Thanks for letting us behind the scenes. Have a terrific tour and come back to SLC again soon!
